I’ve found this:

"Children less than nine years of age being vaccinated for the first time should receive two doses of influenza vaccine, spaced at least 4 weeks apart in the initial year. For inactivated (injectable) vaccine, the dose for children aged 6-35 months is 0.25cc, and the dose for children aged 36 months-9 years is 0.5cc." (source: http://www.cdc.gov/FLU/about/qa/vaxadmin.htm )

And I’ve found a table with data according to manufacturer regarding the dosages: http://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/qa/vaxsupply.htm#table

But I can’t find how much Thimerosal (micrograms) would be contained in the dosage given to a child (5- year-old). Can you help?
Okay. A cc is the same as a ml. So then, a child 5 years old gets two vials of vaccine (one seasonal and one H1N1). Each is .5 ml. (source: http://www.cdc.gov/FLU/about/qa/vaxadmin.htm) According to the table, in .5 ml vials there’s 25 micrograms Thimerosal. That’s 50 micrograms Thimerosal total.
For the 50 micrograms Thimerosal only half of that is ethylmercury. Source: http://www.fda.gov/BiologicsBloodVaccines/SafetyAvailability/VaccineSafety/UCM096228
So, what I was trying to conclude is that the 5 year old child would be getting injected with 25 micrograms ethylmercury (and yes, the parent could request the Thimerosal-free for of the vaccine, but a) it’s not always available, b)not all parents know about it, and c) the CDC says the majority of available vaccine contains Thimerosal as a preservative.
I was referring to each dose of the vaccine. I do realize each person needs 4 doses eventually.

A child 4 – 9 years old, receiving the H1N1 vaccine and the seasonal flu vaccine for the first time, would be injected with a total of 100 mcg of mercury. Each vaccine requires 2 doses for a child receiving it for the first time. Each dose contains 25 mcg of *mercury,* not 25 mcg of thimerosal.

Here are the package inserts for verification.

Pregnant women are encouraged to get both the seasonal and H1N1 flu shots, exposing themselves and their developing fetuses to 50 mcg of mercury.

If I were into conspiracy theories, I would think they were trying to make up for the mercury they took out of the other childhood vaccines. Why would they do that? So there wouldn’t be an obvious drop in autism rates for children born after 2003, when the last of the mercury filled childhood vaccines expired. Why wouldn’t they want there to be an obvious drop in autism rates? Because then there would be billions and billions and billions of dollars in liability.

You can always request a single-dose vial that has zero thimerosal.
