I am an autistic adult who is sick of so-called "experts" trying to explain what they think an autistic person is going through. They think they can "fix" autistic children by forcing them to act normal. Watch this video and see how normal you think ANYBODY can act when they're going through what I simulate for you all. …

This made me cry. I had no idea it was like that for my son. Now I know why my son throws fits sometimes and bites himself & us. I am posting my vid of my son in response to this. I had no idea it was like that. I guess I know why he holds his ears all of the time. This made me very sad.
this is so true. i …
this is so true. i feel that this video should be shown in all schools so that kids have an idea of what happens with sensory overload
I’m glad you took …
I’m glad you took the time to demonstrate this. It surprises me how many people are unaware of what autistic people live with. Most people I know still think it is the same as retardation. Well done, bravo.
This video is …
This video is moving. I never would have known how overwhelming sensory overload is. I also did not know it set off the fight or flight response. Excellent job.
I don’t think I’m …
I don’t think I’m Autistic but recently after doing some reserch trying to figure out what is wrong with me I decided that it has to be some sort of sensory disorder or something. It doesn’t happen all the time but ever since I was little I would have these spells where I just freak out and I could never figure out how to explain it. I always said it’s like when someone scratches a chalk board only 100 times worse. I also get angry if people try to bother me while I’m having this “freak out”

I think there’s …
I think there’s much more to “fixing” these things than simple anti-alzheimer’s drugs.
Autism is how the brain is made. It’s not damage, or a disease; it’s the way the brain is, from before birth. To change the brain of an autistic person would be to affect how they think and who they are. We are much better off teaching them how to deal with the chaotic world they’re born into, than trying to change them into people they’re not.
Yeah. Imagine …
Yeah. Imagine everything around you looking and sounding like that. That’s a taste of what it is like to live with autism. It is very scary.

the sensory overload is scary as .
O_o”
That was a good …
That was a good example of sensory overload. I’ve had it even worse than that. Try getting into a fist fight during a movie with that problem! And then getting beaten up. Imagine all of that sensory overload happening during a fist fight.. couldn’t even aim my fist correctly, like choppy frame rate on a video game. Then when I got hit, the sensation was so overwhelming it felt like the mans hand was in my head burying itself in my brain as if it were still there after he hit me.
