    Just going to say …
Just going to say that I think I know what you mean when you say ‘Society itself is strange…’ Good insight!

    I have autism…

    I have autism…

sometimes to make myself feel better, I just have to forget about it.

hi…i go to college with 2 people who suffer with autism and sometimes i find ti very frustrating to deal with them, but your video removed some of my ignorance and all of my misjudgements. im really grateful you posted this video. it was wonderful. i just hope that more people will stop being prejudice. thanks again

    Good video. Society …
Good video. Society itself is straingt and they don’t accept people who are diffrent in any other why as they are.

    nonon19451 pretty …
    nonon19451 pretty much said it.

Asperger Syndrome (AS) is an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and lies on the mild end of the spectrum.

no cognitive or linguistic delays (unlike other ASDs)

    Stereotypical Patterns of behavior:
Has subject of extreme interest and focus.
Difficulty with deciphering non-verbal communication and emotions.
Literal thinking (difficulty understanding sarcasm, jokes, metaphors, etc.)
Need for predictability (Rigid adherence to routines and schedules)

  9. renoufarnold says:

    severity…time of …
severity…time of onset, the fact that most AS suffers can function independently in society where as someone with full fledged autism more than likely could not

  11. nonon19451 says:

    Autistm- same …
Autistm- same problems as Aspergers, but also language problems such as delays, muteism, etc. Often ociated with mental retardation in about 75% of autists .

    Hope this helps,
    I am an Asp. myself.

  12. nonon19451 says:

    Autism + Aspergers- …
Autism + Aspergers- no known cause many scientists think they are the same disorder but just at separate ends of the sepctrum.

Aspergers = social problems and restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests, and activities. There is usually no mental retardation, IQ’s are in the normal/high range.

  13. 1981alp says:

    This is highly …
This is highly inappropriate but Asperger is the greatest last name ever.

    Ass + Burger = Awsomeness

Seriously though, thanks for the info.

    What defringiates …
What defringiates aspergers from unspecified autism?

  15. drknsqueen says:

    he’s absolutly …
    he’s absolutly adorable:)

  16. brandonistonedeaf says:

    no, i completely …
no, i completely understand. truthfully, i used to think that i have asperger’s–why else would i watch this video? it’s just that there are so many self-diagnosed people who claim to have asperger’s and are, in actuality, just people with severely unlikeable personalities through ignorance or selfishness. myself included. i’d say more than half on the people who claim to have “apserger’s” need to kill or diminish their ego (drugs, meditation) and take a long and difficult look at themselves.

  17. jrudolph2 says:

I didnt get that at …
I didnt get that at all. But yeah, I imagine his lips are entirely impossible to read. Maybe you are talking about his previous comments mostly… but the video itself doesn’t address a cause of autism, it is more an expose on Asperger’s work on its classification.

  18. ginsengaddict says:

    i’d think you would …
i’d think you would prefer being aspergers as opposed to having the 3 main traits of a politician.. but i guess i’m mistaken..

and i’m afraid reading your lips is impossible.. however, reading your previous comments, i gathered that your opinion is stated as vaccines being the main cause of autism – so, if i have misinterpreted your words, i do apologize..

  19. ginsengaddict says:

    “I do agree that …
“I do agree that there needs to be a lot more understanding and empathy for those afflicted with autism in all its variants.”

and you didnt say so before… why?

however, i disagree that finding a cure for aspergers (or any “disability” for that matter) is a good thing.. i don’t see why putting us all through a combine, after some of us have had very successful lives and become remarkable people, is positive..

  20. sophiegromit says:

    LOL, so according …
LOL, so according to you now, I may have Asperger’s! You could have said I have dogged persistence, conviction, or a strong opinion. Again, read my lips, I never said vaccines were the ONLY cause. But one must be highly suspicious and wary when countless babies and toddlers have exhibited immediate reactions following certain vaccines, and when bona fide MD’s like Dr. Joseph Mercola believe the vaccines ARE harmful to SOME individuals!

  21. sophiegromit says:

    I’m not the only …
I’m not the only one that believes vaccines have caused autism in SOME individuals (I never said it was the only cause. Frankly, there are legions of doctors who do believe this, and of course, many that don’t. Your comment about “trying to fix us” is insulting. Researching, understanding and curing ALL diseases or medical conditions is the epitome of good, caring medicine. I do agree that there needs to be a lot more understanding and empathy for those afflicted with autism in all its variants.

  22. ginsengaddict says:

    one of the many …
one of the many traits of aspergers syndrome is obsessive interest and stubbornly believing oneself to be right.. traits you yourself are displaying at the moment..

perhaps it would also interest you to know that a good friend of mine with aspergers comes from a poor neighborhood, and was given no vaccines at birth..

so yet again (note that i hate repeating myself), your logic is flawed – vaccines are not the main cause of aspergers and they never were..

  23. ginsengaddict says:

    and does your …
and does your brother believe the doctoral hearsay that you’re so emotively spelling out for me?

although i must agree with you on the point of irreversibility.. in fact, i mentioned this point in a previous comment..

so, once again, please stop talking about vaccines being the only cause.. trans fat promotes alzheimers, but it is not the only cause..

what matters to me (and likely also your brother) is that the general public learn to appreciate us as we are, and stop trying to fix us, ok?

  24. sophiegromit says:

    ‘ginsengaddict’, no …
‘ginsengaddict’, no YOU shut up simpleton! I am educated and well read, and have a brother who has Aspergers. There may be many factors as to what causes all anomalies within the autism spectrum, so deal with the facts. MANY babies and toddlers have experienced IMMEDIATE adverse, and often IRREVERSIBLE reactions to certain vaccines, and MANY doctors worldwide DO believe that certain forms of autism ARE caused by certain vaccines in certain individuals. Open your eyes and your mind.

  25. sophiegromit says:

No, it is not. You …
No, it is not. You are different than your siblings, as is your immune system. No two people are alike. There are many cases of a sibling having autism, whereby that sibling is younger, and HAS obtained many more vaccines than their brothers or sisters. There are many documented cases of babies or toddlers having IMMEDIATE ADVERSE REACTIONS following vaccination as well! Many INDEPENDENT studies need to be done.
